Rolex – Datejust 41 – Oystersteel – Jubilee – Custom Diamond Set – “Covert” Dial

The Oyster Perpetual Datejust by Rolex is a truly iconic, classic watch. Created in 1945, the Datejust was the first self-winding chronometer wristwatch to display the date in a window at 3 o’clock on the dial – hence its name.
This particular model has an Oystersteel case and Jubilee bracelet. This watch is the largest size Datejust at 41 mm.
 
This Datejust watch has been custom diamond set with G/H colour VS-SI1 round brilliant-cut diamonds in the case, bracelet, shoulders & clasp. We have added a custom-made diamond-set bezel and replaced the original face with a custom made “Covert” paved diamond dial with no index markers.
 
Diamond Afterset
Custom or afterset diamond watches have been customised outside of the factory manufacturers, in our case, in-house by our expert diamond setters. 
Both factory and custom-set watches have real diamonds & precious gemstones of similar size, quality, and quantity. We hand-select all of our diamonds specifically for our customised watches, and for certain designs, we also incorporate precious coloured stones such as Rubies, Sapphires & Emeralds.

Diamond Quality
As standard, we set all of our custom watches with G colour (clear white) VS/SI 1 in clarity diamonds; this gives the perfect balance between quality and affordability. We also sell certain higher-value timepieces with VVS diamonds.
If you are diamond-setting your existing timepiece and would like to use different colour and clarity stones – it is possible. 
Handcrafted
It is the extraordinary skill set of our diamond-setters that ensures each stone is placed perfectly, and securely lodged into the finely sculpted precious metal. The precise alignment, orientation, stone regularity as well as intricate finishing of the metalwork creates a sparkling masterpiece. Under no circumstance would we ever use glue or any similar substance to set stones – every seat is carved carefully into the metal by hand.
All of our diamond-setting is completed in-house at our Dubai workshop. We source all of our diamonds from leading suppliers throughout Russia, Australia, Canada and India.
Diamond Certifcate?
Certificates are issued on single stone diamonds above 0.15 carats – therefore smaller stones do not come with a certificate. A custom-set diamond watch typically has over 1,000 smaller diamonds giving an impressive total carat weight for the whole piece.
When sourcing our diamonds, we buy in large 100-carat loose diamond parcels. Each parcel is certified but not each individual diamond.
