Richard Mille Automatic Flyback Chronograph Felipe Massa Red Quartz TPT RM 011-F
Inspired by Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa, this 40mm Flyback Chronograph RM 011 model by Richard Mille is constructed from Red Quartz TPT (Thin Ply Technology) Carbon. Massa, known for his 15 year career in Formula One (F1) was the first sporting figure to join the Richard Mille family. The tonneau shaped case with a curved bezel, sides and caseback is typical of a Richard Mille. It's been constructed using an extremely rigorous specification, in the manner of analytical engineering methods used to design Formula One cars. In anti-glare sapphire is the skeletonized dial which features an annular calendar display with an oversize date under 12 o'clock and month display placed between 4 and 5 o 'clock. Also featuring are small seconds, a 60 minute countdown timer and 12 hour totalizer. A nod towards F1 cars is the crown, in grade 5 titanium, resembles a smooth tyre encircling a spoked wheel rim. Fitted with a calibre RM 011-S skeletonized winding automatic movement with a power reserve of circa 55 hours without chronograph running. The movement can be admired via the anti-glare sapphire caseback. Bringing the timepiece together is a brand new black Richard Mille canvas strap with red detailing complimenting the case and a folding velcro fastening. A limited edition model, this is one of just 50 to have ever been manufactured. Having just been serviced, the piece is in exemplary condition and comes complete with a Richard Mille box, papers dated June 2016 and service papers dated January 2022, ensuring it's covered by Richard Mille until January 2024.
